VISITORS - Poet's End

Editée en 2016 par le label canadien Telephone Explosion Records, cette anthologie comprend les deux EP "Electric Heat" (Deep Cuts Records, 1979) et "Empty Room" (Departure Music, 1980)  ainsi que leur single "Compatibility / Poet's End" (Rational Records, 1981). Après leur fameux "Electric Heat, Alan Laing (drums) quitte la formation, le groupe entre en studio fin 79 avec son nouveau batteur Keith Wilson, quatre titres sont enregistrés dont trois sortent en 80 sur Departure Music , après maints refus de divers labels. Deux titres, issus d'une Peel session, enregistrés en février 80 "Comatibility" & "Poet's End" sortent en single en 81...Le groupe disparait la même année... Scott Post-Punk gem ...

THE VISITORS - Electric Heat EP

Quartet formé à Edimbourg en 1978 par John Mcvay (keyboards, vocals), Colin Craigie (guitar, vocals), Derek Mcvay (bass, backing vocals) & Alan Laing (drums, backing vocals). D'abord nommée The Deleted, un combo punk apprécié localement, la formation se rebaptise The Visitors et s'oriente vers un postpunk flamboyant comme en témoigne leur première pépite parue en mai 79 sur Deep Cuts Records.
