Des groupes d'early punk rock , The Homosexuals anciennement The Rejects en 76/77 est parmi ceux qui ont su le mieux profiter du coup de chasse d'eau tiré par le punk et de la liberté sans limite initiée par l'éthique D.I.Y. Bien que le groupe soit resté confidentiel malgré une production du même niveau que celles de groupes devenus cultes comme Wire, Swell Maps, Desperate Bicycles, TV Personalities etc... à distance, il faut bien reconnaitre que The Homosexuals ont été parmi les plus novateurs et influents de l'immédiat post-punk avec des miniatures aux climats extrêmement variés: Cold, Dub, synthétiques, punk, African, pop...Chuck Warner (le taulier d'Hyped To Death) produit cet énorme digipack de 81 titres en 2004 retraçant l'histoire du groupe avec ses personnalités fortes et inclassables... D.I.Y at its best...
