Les premiers concerts des Sex Pistols à l'étranger se déroulent au Chalet du Lac, Bois de Vincennes, les 3 et 5 septembre 1976. L'ancien club disco fait peau neuve en invitant le groupe en vue britannique, les Sex Pistols et son fan club le Bromley Contingent débarquent à Paris, un séjour pas si tranquille; à l'instar de leur futur passage en Suède, des éléments attardés tentent de foutre la merde n'hésitant pas à balancer des patates cuites hérissées de lames de rasoir. Les concerts se déroulent devant la petite chapelle punk, l'intelligentsia parisienne, le public est essentiellement composée par l'ancienne clientèle du club peu en phase... Le son a été capturé par Pascal Regoli le bassiste de Loose Heart le 5 septembre à l'exception de "Did You No Wrong" enregistré le 3 septembre. Great historical document...

RépondreSupprimerMon français est limité, alors excusez mon anglais: if memory serves, this gig was organized by one of the future cofounders of ZE Records (Paris - New York) Michael Zilkha ou Michel Esteban. I read somewhere (Matlock's Teenage Pistol probably) that the band hated the lights in the floor. let's see (hear) how they did in Paris... In September '76 the SP were at their prime, playing very tight, as shown in the Burton-on-Trent old bootlegs or Chelmsford prison and some more.
