Combo formé à Detroit en 1967 par deux ex-Detroit Vibrations Tom Harris (bass), Richard Stevers (batterie), ils sont rejoints par Tom Beaudry alias Kelly Green (chant) & Gary Ray Thompson (guitare). Après trois singles sur Parrot Records "Tell Me Why / Cryin' Shame", "Drivin' Blues / God Gave Me You" en 69 & "House Of The Rising Sun / Drivin' Blues" en 70, l'album "Frijid Pink" parait, gorgé d"électricité, de distorsions, fuzz & wah wah. Un des grands disques fondateurs du Detroit Sound à la MC5, Stooges, SRC, Bob Seger System, Frost, Mitch Ryder...Et à mon avis la plus grande version de "House of the Rising Sun" jamais enregistrée... High Energy Monster.
