Combo de Turnbridge Wells, Kent, formé en 1979 par Nick Culmer alias Animal (vocals), Magoo alias Chris Exall (guitar), Baggy alias Chris Elvy (bass) & Tony Show alias Bones (drums). ANL participe en 1981 à l'Apocalypse Tour au côté de Chron Gen, Anti-Pasti & Exploited et sort son premier single "Streets Of London / So What" en novembre, Winston Blake (bass) et PJ Djahanshah Aghssa alias Persian John (drums) ont remplacé Baggy et Bones. Une vigoureuse reprise de "Streets Of London" du folksinger Ralph McTell de 69 et le plat de résistance en face B: l'incontournable "So What" qui atteint la 48ème place des charts, l'obscénité créé un tollé et bien évidemment les autorités s'en mêlent, les stocks sont saisis et Scotland Yard donne injonction aux détenteurs du single de le ramener pour éviter d'éventuelles poursuites et incite même les parents à s'en emparer...Punk hymn...
