THE TABLE - Do The Standing Still / The Magical Melon Of The Tropics

Groupe de Cardiff formé en 1974 par Russell Young & Tony Barnes, d'abord appelé Do You Want This Table, puis The Table en 76, le duo est rejoint par Micky O'Connor (guitare) & Len Lewis (batterie). Le single "Do The Standing Still" parait en avril 77 chez Virgin Records. Deux titres avant-gardistes passés à la trappe dans le contexte, dommage "Do The Standing Still" est une excellente production de l'année 77. Art-punk,  New Wave psychédélique proche de certains groupes New Yorkais voire XTC.
