Mighty Sphincter

La compilation définitive du Hardcore de Phoenix, Arizona,  éditée en 1984 par Placebo Records. Le titre parodie  la compilation This Is Boston, Not L.A. "La scène de Phoenix a émergé en 1980 autour de quelques laissés-pour-compte traînant autour du foyer The Hate House. Cette scène a engendré des groupes mineurs comme The Deeds, Charlie Monoxide, et The Very Idea Of Fucking Hitler. Le plus gros groupe étant The Feederz...(American Hardcore)". Hum, je jetterais bien une oreille sur ces groupes mineurs mais bon!  A l'exception de Solent Greene, JFA et des Sun City Girls, trois formations présentes sur la précédente compilation Amuck, Placebo Records, intègre l'excellent combo de Tucson Conflict, Zany Guys et Mighty Sphincter dont la batteur Greg Hynes codirige Placebo Records avec Tony Victor. Mighty Sphincter et Conflict enregistrés au Desert Sound Phoenix en 1983. Solent Greene enregistré au Desert Sound Phoenix en 1981. The Zany Guys & Sun City Girls enregistrés live At Whiskers, Phoenix, en 1983. JFA enregistré live At DeVry Inst. Of Tech., Phoenix, en 1983. A Historical Document... Great Stuff...
